Sicily, Etna, wines, vineyards, its cellars. All this there is a unique and fascinating way to visit them, the Etna train of the Circumetnea Railway which, starting from Riposto almost at sea level, runs along the slopes of the volcano until it reaches Randazzo. It is a self-propelled locomotive which, by the way, goes all the way around the slopes of the Volcano and also reaches Catania and then goes back. In the wine route starting from Riposto the first stop is in Piedimonte Etneo, from here onwards the locomotive crosses all areas cultivated with vineyards called "Area Doc". You will find Linguaglossa, Castiglione di Sicilia, Rovittello, Solicchiata, Passopisciaro. The panorama is fantastic vineyards, cellars, farmhouses used for hospitality, with the view of Etna on one side and the sea on the other. From any of these locations you can get off the train and visit the cellars that are nearby. All offer tastings of their wines with typical products.
